Fast Movie Downloads

I like things easy and simple, and I have to say that Apple Itunes has done a good job with online movie rentals. You do not need a monthly membership, but you just pay for what you watch. You also do NOT NEED AN IPOD! You can simply download Apple ITune’s secure software and watch the movies on your own computer. Of course, if you have a Video IPOD, then you can also download the movies to that device for portability.

Movie Rentals Now Available For Your PC on iTunes * NO IPOD REQUIRED
The neat thing about the service is that once you have purchased a movie, you can always watch it. So you don’t have to worry about a due date or late fee, and you don’t have to leave your house to go to a video store. Plus, it is cheaper then any video stores in my area.

Most movies charge nominal fee to download (some movies are free), but the download software is free.

Watch TV on a PC?

Yahoo Tech has published an article on 5 ways to watch TV on Your own ‘Puter! Think about it. Your monitor is probably sharper than your TV anyway and you might as well catch a show. You can even sit back in your chair, put your laptop on your….well….lap, and then watch your PC and your TV at the same time. Catch 2 shows at the same time! O.K. maybe that’s nuts for some people, but it could solve some dilemnas.

TiVoToGo - Series 2 Tivo and TiVoToGo software on your PC lets you record, download, and then watch on the roard.

Official Network TV Shows Online - Many networks carry their most popular tv shows online now. Fox, CBS, and NBC have many prime time series online. Even news shows are keeping popular clips for later showing. Just go check your network website. They promote the popular tv shows they keep online.

Classic TV - Love them or hate them (I love them), you can find anything from Underdog to Max Headroom for free at InTV which is part of AOL.

Overseas TV - You can find international television online, both free and paid. Don’t worry if you only speak English, because you can find English channels too! Try Beeline and WWiTV for starters.

Buy TV on Your PC - You have to figure that the good stuff is going to cost money, except for certain networks who do run their prime time series as mentioned above. You can look at places like ITunes, Amazon Unboxed, and many others to download your favorite TV episodes or movies. It usually only costs a buck or two, and we have found it worth it to catch a show that we cannot seem to catch on regular TV.

OTHER WAYS - You can also get TV tuners for your PC, and even software that picks up tv channels. I’m sure that there are other ways to watch tv on a pc. Comments?
